Looking out into our classroom, I see students from other parts of the world and some born right in the neighborhood, making for a rich cultural experience.

My Project
In our classroom we have class meetings and social emotional conversations often. The students collaborate with each other and are learning how important working together is! We are building a cultural climate of kindness.
These positive trinkets and incentives will help encourage my students to do their best!
I want to refill our classroom treasure chest for the students. Having the extra supplies helps me to remember to "catch students being good" more often and acknowledge their accomplishments. Students earn trinkets for good behavior, improvements in academics, trying their best, and being positive role models for their peers. This positivity helps every academic subject: reading, writing, math, financial literacy, science, social studies, and etc.
I love how a small trinket can light up a kid's world for a moment.
