Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We don't have enough classroom computers for my students to use the educational software that has already been purchased. Children enjoy working on computer related activities, once they're back at their desk they can work on computer printed worksheets can be printed. That's why they need crayons, pencils and a pencil sharpener.
My students are a lively, highly motivated group of children, they are always eager to learn new material.
They look forward to computer time, but the wait time for their turn may take days. Right now, they have very limited access to computers.
My second graders use crayons and pencils everyday to complete activities related to the lessons of the day. Many of the software programs come with great worksheets that can be printed out. The children love completing these activities.
Our urban public school has very limited resources and so do the parents of my students.
My Project
I am requesting a laptop to enhance the educational experience my students have. The crayons, pencil sharpener, and pencils are tools that will be used to help complete the activities that can printed from the Internet. The resources will help my students on a daily basis. The laptop would be used for interactive educational games and software programs that can increase reading and math skills for struggling students. My students would also be able to link up to Internet for valuable information. The crayons and pencils will be used to complete activities that reinforce math and reading skills being taught.
My second grade Super Stars deserve all the educational opportunities available at this time.
Computer skills are definitely needed to compete in today's society. Crayons, pencils and a pencil sharpener are necessities that every great classroom should have.
