Our team uses a two-person team model, which means I see the same students twice a day. Because of this, I form close bonds with each and every student.
The classroom environment is an incredibly important piece in students' success. They need a good environment in order to make the educational gains expected of them. I want my students to be comfortable in the classroom.
I teach math and science to students in eighth grade. My classroom is furnished with stools, which are convenient and easy for many activities, group work and labs. However, students are with me for multiple blocks a day, and the stools can be uncomfortable. I want to purchase cushions for these stools so that students have an optimal learning environment. I believe this added comfort will improve concentration, therefore improving student learning.
