My students are creative and eager to learn more about art ! They can't wait to draw, color and paint. I see students in grades kinder through 6th grade, with special needs students at every grade level. I'm so lucky to get lots of hugs from them every day, and sure miss that now that we are not able to be in school.
My students are eager to do art at home, but do not have basic art supplies for distance learning art lessons so they can continue being creative and have fun !
My school is a Title 1 school, with many low income families, and most students are provided breakfast and lunch, and even for some, food is sent home on the weekend.
My Project
Help me provide basic art supplies such as pencils, paper, crayons, markers and watercolor paint sets for my low income students to use at home so they can continue to be creative and show their love of art during this time of distance learning. My school is Title 1 with more than 60% of students receiving free or reduced breakfast and lunch. During this time of shelter in place, my school presently hands out 400 meals per day during the week. Your donation will benefit almost 125 families who do not have the resources to buy even basic art supplies. Each family will receive at least 2 pencils, a box of crayons, a pack of markers, a set of watercolors with a brush, and a package of assorted pieces of construction paper. Thank you for your consideration!
