My students need these items to provide flexible seating. Many businesses today focus on employee satisfaction giving them collaborative, fun spaces to work and generate ideas, a goal of my business and marketing classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from low-income families who struggle to provide the basic necessities for their children. We are Title I but serve an amazing group of students! Each student is currently studying 1 of our 12 career technical education programs which will provide them with the tools and knowledge required for the future world of work or for post-secondary education.
These students are driven to learn and succeed, and regardless of their life at home, they choose to be at my school.
My Project
My goal is to provide students with an opportunity to experience what working in unique companies would be like. Businesses, like Zappos, uses creative spaces for employees to work instead of forcing employees to stay within the confines of a cubicle.
Flexible chairs and unique spaces will allow students to get their creative juices flowing!
Wouldn't you have liked to learn in a unique space instead of the typical plastic chair and desk? Two futons and two ottomans will be used to create a relaxing space for students to collaborate and work together, I envision this space to feel like a coffee shop! The tall wooden table and chairs provides another unique learning space where students can stand and sit together. Ball chairs will be used with the existing tables in the classroom for fidgety students who want a fun place to learn (this is also great for their posture)! 4 folding tables can be used anywhere in the classroom to learn, easy and portable! A modern coffee table and set of 4 chairs will give students another collaborative and modern space to work together on projects! Lastly, the stackable stools can be used at our existing tables or can be moved around the class easily for learning. All of these unique seating sets and pieces will make my classroom feel comfortable, similar to a new world business or coffee shop, which students can learn and be creative in.
