I teach in a rural school and with low income/high poverty rates, my students have to overcome obstacles both at home and at school. I want my students to come into my classroom everyday and feel loved, comfortable and inspired!
The class sizes in our school may be small, but this just creates a better sense of community within our school and especially within each individual classroom.
With only one class per grade, most of my students will be together from kindergarten until high school graduation.
As with any nine to ten-year-old kids, my fourth graders are smart and energetic, hard working and clever, determined and resilient! This group of students are like a family; they support and care about each other and for one awesome year, I get to be a part of their family, too!
My Project
Jennifer Serravallo is a well regarded writer about how to help students reach their full reading and writing potential. Her books are a valued resource to teachers because they help teachers pinpoint specific difficulties for individual students and how to address and assist those students to make improvements and reach their individual potential.
Reading and writing are life skills that all students need to be successful in school and life.
Jennifer Serravallo's books will help me address the individual needs of my students so they are successful students. Jennifer Serravallo's books are an amazing resource to help me reach the needs and full potential of all my students!
