Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are dynamic Pre-Kindergarten students. The students come in every morning ready to learn academically and socially. We place an emphasis on teaching the whole child and making sure that all students are well-rounded and ready for kindergarten. A day in our Pre-K classroom includes singing, dancing, smiling, and lots of learning.

In our classroom, we learn through play and lots of exploration.

The students spend most of their day in student choice centers. During this time the students are able to explore, play, and learn in various centers that target different areas of development. Our students love to show off their new learning to their friends and families at home!

My Project

These cases for the iPads from Amazon will allow our students the opportunity to have their own iPad in the classroom for learning. Our classroom currently is a dynamic one however the use of technology is minimal. We have been lucky to be given 30 iPads for our students however without cases the likelihood of 4 year olds damaging the devices are very high and we have no way to replace them.

With the iPad cases, the students will be able to use the iPads daily to enhance their learning.

The students will have more access to books, songs, and other learning material that is online and on apps. The ultimate goal is to use the iPads to expose the children to even more STEM opportunities such as coding and digital art.
