Help me give my students two printers to give them an opportunity to print and publish their papers and pictures to display in our portable classroom to make it feel more like home.
Family. Each one of my 23 students brings a special trait and variety to our classroom enabling us to overcome challenges together much like a family. Never has this facet of my Family classroom been so apparent than the past few months as we all are overcoming challenges at school and home due to Hurricane Michael. This tragedy has brought us closer as a class family. My students stand up for and support each other like families do. They show love for each other like families do. They disagree like families do. They reconcile like families do. Most importantly, they have learned to live together like we all should do.
I love that my students have overcome adversity through this natural disaster.
To them, it doesn't matter the location of the school because my students are the school. They have taught each other and taught me even more. My Class Family is what truly matters to me.
My Project
Having a printer and a photo printer in our portable classroom will enable my students to be able to print their work in addition to printing a photo of themselves to attach to their work for display.
This will allow us to re-create what our classroom looked like before Hurricane Michael.
Giving my students the tools they need to further their creativity in their writing and photography skills will give my students hands-on opportunities to learn and create in our classroom.
In addition to having my teacher printer, my students would be able to have access to their own printers to bring out their own creativity.
