My students need six Bloxels building sets to create their own digital interactive stories and games that will help them problem-solve and use technology in new and creative ways.
Our middle school has approximately 700 students in grades 6-8. In my class, Creative Technology, students are exposed to technology tools and hands-on project-based curriculum to help them adapt to the ever-changing scope of modern technology.
Middle school students are always hungry for what is new and exciting, and it's important to keep students engaged with relevant content as much as possible.
I am constantly amazed by the creative ideas and quality of work that students produce using the resources available to them!
My Project
In Creative Technology class, we are always dreaming up new ways to create, tell stories, build, collaborate, and invent using technology. We need six Bloxels building sets to create their own digital interactive stories and games that will help them problem-solve and use technology in new and creative ways. Bloxels is a new tech tool that we have not yet gotten the chance to use in class. Each Bloxels kit will allow students to create their own interactive worlds in a game-like storytelling format.
From character development and settings to story elements, Bloxels will allow us to creatively control all aspects of storytelling through customization.
Once students create their own stories, they can have classmates "play" their Bloxels game, thus giving students an authentic audience of peers with which to share their work and receive feedback.
Bloxels would be an awesome way to enhance and enrich our existing curriculum by giving students a new tool for creation.
