Help me give my students the opportunity to express themselves. Through art and building experiences they are able to show what they know, and also use it as a form of coping when stressed.
The students at FES are absolutely amazing! They love to learn new things and are excited to be at school every day. With the social and economic struggles that many of the students face on a daily basis, the school is their safe haven where they can make friends, strengthen their character, and relax and be a kid!
Building a classroom culture where all students are loved and inspired is critical.
My students have become a close family, who support each other and work so well together. Even as we have struggled through Covid, they love to learn. It has been a challenge catching up from last year, but every day they are working hard towards their goals. As the year continues, we are working on showing our creativity and art skills to show what we know.
My Project
These supplies will be used to support student engagement. Through creativity and the arts, students will be allowed to express themselves and show what they have learned. They will also use these resources to help them when stressed or need an outlet to calm down.
Through our math, science, and social studies lessons, students often need a visual way to show what they know.
Writing paragraphs can be overwhelming, but drawing out what they learned is an easy way to get started. With these resources, students will be able to express their ideas in a way that makes sense to them!
