My students need a table and flexible seating for our NEW classroom. Starting a new school has its perks, but also its disadvantages. Being a pull-out teacher, I am last on the list to get furniture.
Hello from Harmony! Harmony is not just our school name, but it is the description of my class. I teach the Gifted & Talented students at a charter school in Grand Prairie. My students are not just students to me, they are my school family. They are ecstatic to have GT pull-outs twice a week.
We work on semester long projects about topics that they do not get to learn about in the regular classroom.
From kindergarten through 6th grade, my students always are thinking outside of the box, and crave for deeper meaning in everything. Let's just say there is never a dull moment in our room!
My Project
My Gifted and Talented students get to spend 3 hours a week with me working on year long in-depth projects. Each year I struggle with flexible seating and unique furniture.
Sure students can work on the floor, but a table would be nice right?
My students create the most beautiful projects, and I want them to have the adequate furniture to fit their needs. With building a new school we are off and running, but unfortunately I did not get a table in my room. Our budget is tight at the moment. Currently our school is open, but parents can not pick up or drop off their children to the school until a small road is completed in the next month. So we are spending thousands a day for charter buses to pick up and drop off at an alternative location. So I would hate to ask to order more furniture at a time like this.
