My Students

Autistic, Multiple Handicapped with various behavior issues, and learning disability with low IQ, each class benefits from the culinary aspect of the classroom setting. Having an oven in the classroom will give the different classes a sense of responsibility and depending on their individual needs, a sense of importance in their education. Due to their individual obstacles, culinary has become one way they can feel successful. I hope you consider donating to these children which will not only help with her self-esteem, but help them gain real life skills in the kitchen.

My Project

The range will allow my students to start their teacher treats coffee cart, cooking for the Board of Education, and learning to be self sufficient after graduation and not just live on Ramen, but actually cook healthy. Students will create menu choices and prepare them to eat. Students can identify ways to be able to cook various recipes that have been researched and executed. Other treats can be made to assist the coffee cart business which we already have instilled in the program. Having a kitchen already established in the school, the students are excited as they enter the class. The range will allow the students to create more challenging recipes and meals they could be proud of as they graduate.
