I teach third grade in a self contained classroom. My students are smart, creative and very inquisitive. They love learning new things and feeling the sense of accomplishment they get when they have learned something new. They are also extremely strong and resilient. Over 50 percent of my students receive free/reduced lunch. My kiddos are bright and excited to learn despite what trials they go through outside of our walls. They inspire me everyday to be the best teacher I can possibly be!

They enjoy movement and hands-on activities. I would like the opportunity to offer my students a room that will make them more comfortable and appealing while they are learning! A comfortable learning environment will lead to more student engagement, which means more success!
My Project
I am asking for art supplies to surprise my students. During these uncertain times, I want to surprise my students and cheer them up. They have all expressed how they deeply miss their classmates and me. I am asking for art kits so students can send each other cards or make crafts to send to one another. I'm trying my best to be there for my students. I sure would love to put a smile on their faces.
I'm also asking for material to be utilized in the classroom.
I want my students to feel at home and comfortable when they walk in the door each day. The posters, border, and other supplies make for a relaxing and calming learning space.
