My Students
"We are a team!" "We are a family!" "We are problem solvers!" These are a few reminders that I tell my students each and every day. Being a teacher in a low income school district has been so rewarding, but nevertheless it has it's challenges. I teach 4th grade in a small urban school. Our funding has been drastically cut, so it is up to the teachers to purchase a lot of the "extra" things and materials to make our school day run smoother.
My students love learning in fun and creative ways!
Being able to purchase these supplies though is challenging. Our school doesn't have the money, but I don't want the financial hardship to interfere with my students' ability to learn! I always try my best to provide my students with the supplies they need! It is my goal to provide my students with a caring community for them to grow above and beyond their expectations!
My Project
Teachnology is a key tool for learning. There are amazing resources that help students develop their understanding in English Language Arts and Math! However, I need Chromebooks to help my students do this. I am asking for 2 Chromebooks to help start implementing technology more! Google Classroom is another tool to help manage a classroom. Using Google Classroom will help organize student work, assess their learning, enhance communication and feedback, and engage students in the learning process! It is my goal to use Google Classroom for my classes next year. However, I would love to introduce my current students to Google Classroom and the other free educational programs!
My students love using technology, but sadly our school does not have enough money to provide each classroom with laptops.
Technology motivates my students and helps them learn in fun and engaging ways! That is why I am asking for your support in helping my students learn with laptops. It is always my goal to provide my students with an individualized, engaging, and challenging learning experience that will equip them to become lifelong learners and to reach their highest potential.
