My students will be walking into a place of learning, discovering, collaboration and love! Many of my students come from broken homes or live with their grandparents! I want them to be able to take pride in everything they do in and out of school. We are a small community which in turn helps create a family feel.
My students are anxious to be able to read books and create things on their own.
A majority of my students qualify for free and reduced-price lunches. There a lot of issues in my students' lives that I cannot control, but I can give them a positive and loving learning atmosphere!
My Project
We use Chrome books in many ways in our classroom. Students use them during centers to listen to books, play learning games, and create projects. One of our favorite things to do on chrome books is Listen and Learn. They scan a QR code and a fabulous teacher gets on and gives them fun activities to do with a particular phonics skill.
We need more Chromebooks!!
We have 5 classroom Chrome books, but they are all taken up during centers, so when another student wants to get on EPIC to read, or they want to take and AR test over a book they've read, they have to wait their turn.
We will be able to do more shared research if we have more chrome books and headphones. My students won't have to argue or wait if this project is funded! We appreciate you taking the time to help our classroom!
