This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The makeup of our school is unique. The majority of our students come from lower income families. We are a title 1 school located in Georgia. We are a neighborhood school and still have the family feel that is unique.
My students walk in every morning excited and ready to learn.
They are full of energy and you would never know such a diverse group of students would mold into the family they have. We have various learners
Dynamic, diverseness and enthusiastic are the words that describe my students. Despite challenging home lives and socioeconomic disadvantages, my students still show up every day with a hunger to learn.
My Project
We have been fortunate enough to get a few iPads for our classroom. Our students are having trouble with the fact that they cannot stand the iPads up while completing their science experiments. They want to be able to see the screen and work at the same time.
If we have these cases, we can use them to add keyboards and be able to do work on scratch paper while still having the visual needed on the screen.
We can also complete more interactive technology games for science and math while having the option to have to free hands instead of just one hand from holding it up.
