Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at an elementary school with over four hundred students. One hundred percent of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of the students come from diverse backgrounds, and school is the only constant in their day, but that doesn't stop the students from being the best they can be.
Thank you in advance for your generosity toward my students and helping them become successful students.
I want to make sure they have all the supplies they need to be successful in science and social studies.
My Project
During the winter time the students don't get to go outside because of the weather. Most of the students get very bored with the movies they show. I am asking for different board games so that the students can be entertained in the building without having to watch a movie.
Keeping busy is the best option.
The students can play board games during the indoor recess time. Sequence, Simon, Blokus, Sorry, Connect 4 and Jenga are all great strategy games that teach the students while they enjoy playing. What is fun is that the students don't know they are learning; they think they are playing. Boggle has students make words with scrambled letters, so the students are doing a spelling lesson without even realizing it.
