Mrs. Eastman from Pittsburgh PA is requesting educational kits & games through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need the two literacy and math centers from small groups. I have small group things for second grade and the students love using the materials.

I am going to be a third self contained teacher next year. I have all of second grade right now for math. I am receiving two new resources next school year, math and reading. My students are creative and loving. They are eager to have stability in the classroom this year because the students had four teachers before they switched my schedule.
The school is located in Pittsburgh.
90% of the students are below poverty, but they come to school every day ready to learn.
The students love using the materials for centers I have already. Every day they are eager to learn on their own and makes them own their own learning. When it is time for centers the students perk up and are engaged 100%. I love watching them learn on their own while I work with students that need more one on one instruction. I am getting the same students next year so I need new materials for small groups so they are not doing the same things over again. I can not wait to show them the new materials if my project gets funded.
The math instant center game and math folder games will have two purposes.
One for the students that completed their class work and computer assignments. Another purpose the students will be using the games will be in small group rotation during differentiated instruction. I have five small groups running at a time. 1. edmentum (math program from district) 2. teacher reteach 3. math game 4. exemplar - solve a story problem 5. write a story problem with the math skill we are working on (at the end of the year I create a keepsake book for the students to take home.)
