This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in a low-income urban neighborhood in the city of Chicago. Much of what we do with and for these children is done so with our own funds. I wish I could purchase more, but I can't.

My students have very little access to technology and resources.

In order to be better prepared for their future, they are in dire need of things like computers, tablets, etc. We have a computer lab that is shared with all classrooms.

My Project

My students have very little access to technology. I am requesting three Chromebooks to be able to create a center for students to use to practice fluency and research skills. I have purchased online programs that allow students to listen and read books and practice math facts. These Chromebooks will give them the access they need. Being able to practice these skills will greatly improve their learning.

These Chromebooks are just what they need to be able to learn skills to help them succeed.

Not having any technology in today's world really is a huge disadvantage for all my students.
