My students need a tunnel to crawl through for movement concepts in gymnastics.

My Students

I teach elementary physical education in a Title I school to about 630 students. In addition, I teach 23 students with special needs who receive adaptive physical education. Some of these students attend my class in a separate setting or with a general education class.

When students in these specialized classes participate in my general education classes, they work with their peers to help them understand and demonstrate many skills to be successful.

With both classes, I focus on teaching all of my classes a variety of sports skills regardless of level of abilities.

My Project

During my gymnastics unit and fitness unit, I set up a small tunnel along with my tumbling station to focus on muscular strength by pulling themselves through the tunnel. This tunnel is too small for many of my students. The enormous size of this tunnel will allow my students to run or walk through encouraging endurance and coordination.

With your donations to the PathWay™ See-Through Tunnels, my students will be able to explore animal walks, gymnastic movements, and endurance activities as they travel through it.

This resource will also help my peer buddies stay in close proximity with our special needs students who need assistance to complete goals.
