Craving for Knowledge II

My Students

My students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Each student provides a unique perspective and insight into how the community functions and how it can be improved. Together, we establish a strong bond of support, enthusiasm, and hope. Our trust in each other goes a long way.

My Project

Many of my students come from low-income homes; as such, they often come to school with little to no food. Having chips in the classroom will encourage them to come to class, and also give them a sense that their needs will be met.

If they are hungry in class, their bodies and minds are focused on survival (getting their next meal) and they are distracted from learning.

Having chips in the classroom will help meet that essential need, so that they can focus on engaging in the learning activities.
