My Students
Our students are ages 3-6 and come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some are typically developing while others receive special education services. Despite challenges, each child is encouraged to work hard and try new things each day. They know our classroom is a safe place to make mistakes.
All of our preschool students believe they will learn and grow.
Our goal is to provide them with loving, positive and engaging environment. We play, sing, read, get messy and laugh together on a daily basis.
My Project
I am asking for materials to expand our flexible seating options. The crates will provide new options for seating in the preschool classroom. They can be become a chair with a foam seat or hold a stability ball. Giving students these choices for alternative seating in preschool will start their school experience off right.
Our preschool students will learn to make good choices about seating when thinking and learning.
The foam seats and stability balls will allow students to continue to move while sitting in whole group activities or working in centers. Stability balls will help students improve core strength, which positively impacts their attention and motor control. Combined with our current traditional, cube and rocking chairs, students will have a wide range of choices to find what works best for them.
