My Students

My music classrooms are a place of budding musicians, laughter, and great camaraderie! This year, my students are looking forward to multiple performances with great musical experiences.

My students are high school musicians in a rural Michigan high school.

They are excited to be in general music where they can learn about the beauty of music. My students enjoy the challenge of working together as a musical team to make something great! My students understand that music can bring people together.

My Project

Crash cymbals are a staple in the percussion section. They add color and energy to the band. Our crash cymbals right now have cracks in them. When cymbals have cracks in them, they do not resonate very well and they have a very thin sound.

These new crash cymbals will be fantastic additions to our band as we look to have a better overall band sound, both in the concert hall and on the marching field!

When we are on the marching field, cymbals add flare, crispness, and color to the sound of the band. When we are in the concert hall, cymbals are all about the emotion of the piece.
