Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students of my school come from many different cultures and each one of them has a personality of their own. I teach in a low-income, high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
Many of them were affected by Hurricane Irma and are still rebuilding their lives while being raised in single-parent households.
My students come to class willing to learn and I want them to have every chance to learn with the right materials.
These students need equipment for Physical Education to focus on their potential and growth while they are in Physical Education. I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I hope to inspire even our earliest learners.
My Project
My students need a wireless microphone and a speaker system so that they will be able to hear and understand me. I love teaching my students about fitness and sometimes they like to take things into their own hands. This year I plan on having more time for students to experiment and expand their knowledge. In order to do so, they need a speaker system.
I want to emphasize the importance of listening in my class, as well as the importance of fitness in their lives.
I want to give them this opportunity to learn about the correct way to exercise by showing them all the ways as their Physical Education teacher can show them.
My students love to move and exercise. I regularly create fitness routines with my students that include motions and dancing to influence their rhythm and beat abilities. We would like to show off our exercise moves to homeroom teachers and principals.
