My students need pom poms, doilies, foam letters and numbers, sequins and spangles, wiggles eyes, stencils and graph paper to complete projects with their 1st grade buddies.
Nothing motivates my students like spending time with younger students! My students especially love completing art projects with their 1st grade buddies.
My students come from eight school districts in Northeast Pennsylvania.
We are a small K-8 charter school, with a maximum of 25 students in each class. We focus on hands-on projects, research, and meaningful activities. By mentoring younger students, my class is learning how much their behavior affects the younger students at our school.
My Project
We need pom poms, doilies, foam letters and numbers, sequins and spangles, wiggles eyes, stencils and graph paper to complete projects with their 1st grade buddies. These resources will allow us to do team building projects, art projects, and holiday projects with our buddies. The time my students spend with their buddies is never wasted. Both classes enjoy the time together and the teachers see the growth in the character of the students.

The impact of these projects will be greater than simply telling the students about character. Instead of talking, they will be doing!
