Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have thirty-six culturally diverse students. We are part of a Title I school where everyone gets free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students come from poverty-stricken homes and need more than just an education from me. They need love, acceptance, and support, as well.
This group is extra special because they are my first group in a collaborative classroom.
It is an amazing opportunity that I am so thankful to share with these kids and my new co-teacher.
My Project
My students love to help me with EVERYTHING. They love to be my helper or assistant as much as possible. I love creating anchor charts and bulletin boards and of course, my students want to help too. I use my Cricut at home all the time to cut out letters, numbers, and shapes for these projects but my students can't help with this. Then I have to remember to bring these things to school. With a classroom Cricut, I wouldn't have to worry about these. We could create things for posters, bulletin boards, and so much more together at school.
Another way I hope to use our Cricut is by making shirts for my students to wear to Field Day.
This would make us look as much like a team as we already feel.
