My students are athletes, writers, readers, and artists. They love to give. When I first met my students, several told me they didn’t read, but each one found a book they enjoy. Students are not expected to come to school with supplies. My students live in the poorest county in the state of Michigan, according to a recent Detroit Free Press article. Many of these students travel to school by bus. They come from very diverse backgrounds.
I called a parent, and the first thing he said was thank you so much for loaning my son that book that he won't put down.
My students are currently learning from home. This project is intended to get snacks and fun projects into the hands of my students.
My Project
This is a project to send snacks and craft projects to my students in December. My students have been in remote learning since March 2020.
It would be awesome to send them some snacks and some fun craft projects to enjoy for the holidays.
I have a class of awesome, respectful learners, and I would love to do some special things for them. Please help me send them snacks and craft projects. We would love your support during this pandemic. Please stand with us and help me send them some gifts.
