Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will be working with Kindergarten and First Grade students who need support in acquiring spoken and written English. One of the best ways to acquire language is by doing an activity with others that requires communication and repetition.

Crafts are a great way to engage young students in fun activities that provide opportunities for repeated language exposure.

I have a TON of fun crafts planned for us to make this winter, and will need some special supplies to make them come to life. Popsicle sticks will become snowflakes, shaving cream and glue will combine to make puffy paint, and paper places will be reimagined into a variety of creatures.
