I am entering into my 14th year of teaching and I have loved every minute of it. There are wonderful days and there are challenging days. But in the end, that one good day reminds me why I went into teaching.
The smiles, the laughs, the light bulbs are all signs of a happy and growing scholar.
My classroom is full of eager learners. My scholars are exceptional. They come to school and put their best foot forward every day. My scholars' needs vary in severity and area. They have behavioral needs, academic needs, and social needs; each as unique as to the individual learner.
My Project
My scholars are fighting over the graphic novels in the classroom! They can't seem to keep their hands off these books! I had one scholar who slowly collected all the Captain Underpants books and kept them in his backpack!
We NEED more graphic novels to continue our love for reading!
My scholars need new graphic novel series such as BabyMouse, Squish, and Dog Man to open up their interests. There are plenty of books out there and I need help bringing them into our classroom. My scholars will be thrilled and encouraged to read when they see books that are entertaining and they are able to access. To me, it doesn't matter (minus the inappropriate stuff) what my scholars read, as long as they read! Will you help support my mission to bring in more graphic novels for my scholars?
