I truly believe by giving students choices for seating, I am empowering them to get excited about what they are learning.

My students enjoy movement and try to move as much as possible during lessons to help them engage their brain and their bodies. This is why I want to allow them to have flexible seating options.

My students are amazing little people! They love to learn and really enjoy hands-on activities that get them moving. They attend a STEAM school and regularly receive problem-based instruction. They are very inquisitive and enjoy learning, moving, and showing off all of their hard work.

My Project

My students love to move and get cozy while learning. By giving them the option to work on a couch or chair I feel like they will be more excited about learning! I think that we, as people, learn better when we are comfortable and so do students. Research has also shown that these options will also improve their ability to concentrate on what they are learning.

Giving them the option of flexible seating will allow the kids to invest in and get excited about what they are learning.

I am anxious to watch my kids be happy about learning and get excited about Cozying Up to 3rd Grade!
