My Students

My classroom is an inclusion kindergarten classroom. It is a general education classroom, and each year there are students who receive special education services included in my class. This year and EVERY year, my classroom is full of wonderful young students who are eager to learn. My ultimate goal is to encourage and support each of them to help them reach their full potential. In our class, we care for each other and recognize that we are all different, and we are all amazing.

My Project

A love of reading is something that every teacher aspires to ignite in his or her students. Books can take children anywhere and lay the foundation for a love of learning throughout their entire lives! What could be better than a cozy place to curl up with a good book?

My goal is to provide my students with a couch and floor seats in our existing classroom library.

Currently, we have some aging bean bags and ottomans that are reaching the end of their life and easily distract my students while they try to read. New seating would make the library more inviting and engaging, and it would encourage my students to take their time enjoying good books.

My students this year and for years to come would be so appreciative of new seating to improve their independent reading experience!
