My Students

My 7th grade students are spunky, creative, intelligent middle schoolers. They love to read- especially when they have a cozy place to do it. After sitting on hard chairs at desks all day, to curl up with a book on a cozy cushion is such a treat! I’ve worked hard to acquire a wonderful classroom library full of diverse topics and characters, but I don’t have a lot of seating options. My students love to spread out on the industrial-style hard carpeted floor to read, but I want to give them a cozier place to do that.

My Project

I want my students to associate their reading time with pleasure. No one wants to read in a hard desk chair. Please help me make reading time as comfortable as possible for my middle schoolers. I can only imagine how happy they will be to dive into one of these cozy bean bag chairs with a wonderful book. I want my students to fall in love with reading, and part of making that happen is setting up the right kind of environment. These cozy bean bag chairs are the perfect spot to curl up with a good book. Thank you!
