My Project

Students in all grades love to visit the library every week. In the library, we read stories, complete research projects, and work with STEM materials. We also make time for independent reading. During our independent reading time, students choose a book to read, and a comfy place to sit. Students can choose to sit at the tables or on the rug. The floor seats in this part one of this project will give my students another seating choice during library class, and will allow us to spread out more when sitting on the carpet.

The library is a place where students can explore and be themselves, and allowing them a choice of seating is an important part of that.

Flexible seating allows students to make choices, and to take charge of their own learning. The floor seats that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices during story time and lessons. By providing our library with flexible and comfy seating, you would be providing our students with a more comfortable environment in the library.
