My Project

My students learn so much in their first years of school-literacy, math, science, and writing. But, one of the most important things children need to learn is how to regulate their social emotional well being.

By teaching children coping skills, and allowing them a safe place to express their emotions, we can help them be more successful learners.

I would like to provide the students with a cozy corner for them to be able to regulate their feelings, so they are able to continue learning and building relationships in our classroom. I also would like calming activities like blowing bubbles and using paper punches that can be done with friends or solitary if they aren't ready to join their friends yet.
