My students are mostly English Language Learners and they are not exposed to both languages at school and at home. We start off our day by offering free breakfast in the classroom to all our students. This ensures that all students are well prepared for the most success in their learning environment. As, a Title I school, most of our students are on a free or reduced-price lunch program. We have a large number of Limited English Proficient students on our campus. By being in a Dual-Language classroom, this gives them the opportunity to succeed in their native language as well as in their new language.
My Kindergarten students are eager to read, they have really begun to enjoy it. They are beginning to read independently and they enjoy working on the Reading Work Station, but they are unable to read comfortably while seated on the cold floor.
Having comfortable chairs will be able to facilitate my student's love for independent reading.
Reading at early age is very important as it is the foundation for learning. The chairs will help makes them feel cozy while reading and enjoying their books. Help me make independent reading more fun and pleasurable for all my students in my classroom.
