My 3rd and 4th graders are full of curiosity and always being detectives as they search for clues and evidence to support their oral and written answers. Working in small groups the majority of the day, my students learn to put forth their best efforts and learn from their mistakes along the way. My students range from shy and creative to outgoing and animated! My students are enthusiastic learners, especially when it comes to hands-on opportunities. They are full of questions and they exude more light as the year goes on.
These books and shelves will be perfect to add to a cozy reading corner in the classroom! The addition of these books will ensure success in the classroom as my students embark on adventures with each turn of the page. As my students grow as independent readers, it's the most rewarding seeing how their faces light up if they've remembered a sight word or if they've used reading strategies taught all on their own. I want the classroom to be a place where there will be a plethora of books that they can choose from! Most importantly, I want my students to know that they can escape into different worlds as they delve into different genres. The flexible seating and cushions will help to make this corner appealing and frequently occupied!
