Help me give my students the very best learning environment for literacy success. The materials requested will be used to create a comfortable reading corner, enhance learning stations, and provide a variety of texts for independent reading.
I will be teaching sixth grade reading at a school on the south side of Chicago. The students in this community are growing each day with their love of reading! My goal as their teacher is to have the students come into school everyday with big smiles and ready for their learning adventure to begin. Our classroom is in need of learning resources to help all of the students succeed! Creating a positive reading environment will give the students the confidence they need to succeed!
My Project
I want to share my love of reading to all of my students! By having a cozy corner where students can get comfortable and choose their own reading material from our fully stocked library will set up each student for reading success. Students have access to all materials in my library and the more variety to meet individual needs the better. Within our reading class, students work independently to achieve their own level of skill mastery and having center materials and activities to provide those learning opportunities will set up our small group rotation for success! These small additions can make a big impact in our learning environment!
