I am blessed to work with 20 amazing learners everyday!
They are energetic 8 and 9 year olds and full of wonderful ideas.
We have learned to embrace our fabulous struggles this year and learn from them. We laugh everyday and have a passion for learning.
My school is 100% free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students face daily challenges at home that help make them stronger individuals. They all bring such strong spirit and love to help create our "room 11" family.
My Project
So much of our day is group or partner work. That doesn't work for all students, all days.
I am looking to offer a positive, cozy alternative to those students who are struggling to work with their group or partner and choose to work alone.
Working on your own shouldn't feel like a negative. We all need a break. I want to create a beautiful space that helps students feel good about working alone. After all, they are choosing to be responsible for their own learning by removing themselves from a distraction. That mature decision takes courage and is a positive!
