My Students

My students are a lively, inquisitive, creative bunch of 5 and 6-year-olds. We are located in an urban public school in South Central PA, found between several metropolitan hubs and therefore, we are a very diverse bunch and represent a multitude of cultures and languages. We are a beautiful blend, which we celebrate daily.

In our class, we focus on building community and striving to be independent learners.

We work together to build confidence and teamwork. As their teacher, I work hard to create respectful global citizens.

My Project

I chose different seating options for my classroom so that students may find an area of the room that empowers them and gives them the freedom of choice. The stools will be used as a comfortable seating solution at my small group table, while the balls and wobble seats provide students who need a little extra wiggle time in their day.

My classroom is a safe place for my students, where they come and spend a majority of their day.

This is the only stable environment many of my students experience within their day. My goal is to make it as cozy and welcoming as I can.
