My Students

My students enter the classroom each morning, eager to see what the day will bring and what we will be doing! We are a diversified community of learners, and many are discovering school for the first time.

My goal is to create a place where they feel capable - ready for new adventures.

They are discovering how they learn best and I want to support this process. A positive kindergarten experience is the foundation for the rest of their education.

My Project

Kinders will enjoy our reading nook even more as they sit on new comfy floor seats, sized especially for them. Maybe they would like to sit or lean on comfy cushions as they practice math skills. All will be available & ready to use. These soft seats and comfy chairs can be moved around the classroom, creating learning spaces where study buddies can work together, enhancing their social skill development as well.

Stretch out - relax - focus!

Imagine being able to select how you want to study. We all learn in different ways, and flexible seating helps to create spaces where students will feel motivated to stay on task. Students who are given options are more engaged in the learning process.
