My students are just the best group of kids a teacher could ask for. We are a small school made up of 130 students pre-k -8 kids. My students don't have much so they don't expect much but they deserve a lot. We do a lot of activities on the carpet and reading center. We have morning work and math meeting on the carpet and have our reading center where we have book looks or just a break. The problem is our carpet or lack of. The large carpet we use for our morning and math meeting is twice handed down and is pretty dirty and worn out and we do not have a carpet in our reading center. I would love to make our room a fun and cozy environment for them.
My Project
We are always on the move. We go from desk to carpet to the reading center. Our problem is our carpet. Our morning and math meeting is on the old dirty worn-out carpet and our reading center doesn't have carpet, only the cold hard tile floor. Neither option is warm and inviting. I would love for the children to want to go to the reading center with a friend and do their book looks, look for sight words in their books, or just look at pictures. A fun inviting carpet would do the job.
