This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is an inner city school that focuses on Trade and Technology careers. With different pathways to follow, our high schooler are investing in their own futures. They are determined to succeed above what society has told them.

My 200 students are eager to learn a new language to help them in their future.

Every student is charismatic, energetic, creative and resilient. Above all these students are kids that are excited to learn new topics in areas they are interested in. They deserve a warm and welcoming environment to discover the beauty of the Spanish language.

My Project

These books and materials will help create a cozy reading corner for our classroom. Many of our students travel in the cold Wisconsin winter to school and look forward to having a cozy place to read a book and just relax.

Learning a second language can be difficult, but it is more fun when we read books that interest us.

Students will be able to expand their vocabulary by exploring topics and genres that interest them. We can achieve this by filling our shelves with level appropriate and intriguing books in Spanish.
