This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach eight Autistic Support/Life Skills students in grades 7-12. We are a low income school district with all students receiving free lunches. Our classroom is a safe and fun place to learn new skills that will take us into our future.
Every student in this class has an individual and unique set of abilities that far outweigh their disabilities.
We are focusing on learning life skills so that we can live as independently as possible. Thank you for taking the time to look at our project.
My Project
Our school lacks the money and resources needed to provide the extra things that make the school day more enjoyable and comfortable for my students. We would use these bean bag chairs as a way to relax, read a book, take a time-out, and use as flexible seating when needed.
Autistic Support students need time and space to take a break during the day and these beanbag chairs would really help!
We count on donors like you to help them receive the materials they need to have an equal opportunity in school. Thank you for taking the time to look over our project!
