My Students

My precious students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration. My students fill every day with sweet laughter and absolute joy. They always make learning together so much fun!

My Project

The classroom carpet is a common meeting place for students and the teacher. Concepts are introduced and practiced. Stories are heard. Thinking takes place. Laughter is shared. We can gather around something new and explore it together. It's that one special place where everyone feels welcome and everyone knows that something new and exciting is about to take place! The carpet is a home inside a classroom, fostering learning and creativity. When the students enter the classroom, they know it's their home away from home, where we can build love, respect, and kindness. I know this addition to the classroom will be just what we need to make learning and gathering together even more meaningful.
