Joyful hearts and smiles abound as my students sing, dance, play, and move in a weekly music experience. Music communicates hope, and it helps students experience diversity in a community where some may never leave the county. My students range in ages from 4 to 12. They are the reason I get up and come to work each day. It is my joy to work with such amazing, hard working students and families.
I teach in a rural community, and our school has qualified for free lunch for all students K-12.
These are hard working families and students. They support their children, and this community supports its schools.
When students enter the Music Room, I want it to be an oasis from a busy day full of testing and classwork. A cozy blue carpet with bright dots of color will give them an organized and comfortable place to sit when they come to music class. When students are calm and focused, learning occurs.
This carpet will help my students feel at ease, and with assigned spots, they will transition between activities in my room quickly.
Corner protectors will help our carpet last as long as possible!
Please help me create this organized space for my students. In teaching, well-managed classrooms have the most educational gains. This rug will allow for the most seamless transitions, and therefore maximize learning time.
