My Project

These cow eyes will provide hands-on learning and create an unforgettable educational experience. This biology lab will point some students to a career path in biology or healthcare.

My class will dissect the cow eyes into individual parts.

They will hold in their hands a cornea, lens, iris, retina, sclera, and optic nerves. They will physically see how all the parts of the eye are connected and get a deeper understanding of how vision works.

My students are 11 and 12 years old and at the golden age of childhood. They get excited about learning because the insecurities of adolescence haven't taken hold yet. This project is perfect for them.
