Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am new to CSASMS. I am so excited to meet the students of this amazing school! I understand the students that make up this student body are extremely talented. They are talented in so many ways. Unfortunately, due to Covid, our students are doing school virtually for the first nine weeks of the school year; therefore I have been unable to meet any of the students.
I am eager to meet our students and provide for their health and medical needs.
My Project
I am the new nurse for CSASMS and I am so excited to meet the students in this amazing school! I am in the process of beefing up my clinic and have taken note of specific items that my clinic/students will benefit from. My clinic has two jankie wheelchairs that look like they might be from the 60's. And they have no foot rests, which is kind of a necessity! A new and functional wheelchair would be wonderful. Also, I am expecting a LARGE shipment of PPE and have no where to store them. The cabinet with the capability of locking is much needed. And lastly I would really like to be able to provide a discrete way for my female students to carry their feminine products to the bathroom without feeling embarrassed.
Well children learn, and I will do everything in my power as the school nurse to provide the best health care possible to the student and staff.
