My amazing and diverse group of 20 students, come from a variety of backgrounds. Comprised of both special needs and typically developing students, my students bring different cultures, interests, experiences and needs to our room. Some students need speech, language, occupational therapy and/or physical therapy services to succeed in school. These students enhance our learning in many ways.
The VPK year is full of ABCs and 123s, science and math, character development, and sensory play.
We are learning how to be students, how to be a friend, and how to be more independent through large and small groups activities, center play, dance, and singing.
Our classroom is large and beautiful, decorated in primary colors, engaging center activities, and visual supports to increase learning!
PreK is such an important year. Our students grow in so many ways. We develop academic skills, social skills and independent skills as we work and play together.
This year, COVID-19 changed so much.
We miss each other. We miss smiles, hugs, and being silly. We miss outside play, the school cafeteria, our pet fish, and center rotations. We've missed field trips, egg hunts, St. Patrick's day, and more. With online school, we have been able to meet up, hang out, and continue to learn. But, as the year draws to an end, we would like to celebrate our successes and accomplishments with a virtual graduation ceremony.
With this project, we will be able to celebrate graduation, virtually, and honor the my amazing students, who have worked so hard, and their parents, who have provided so much love and support each day.
