Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love that my JAWesome students come to school everyday with a great attitude, even if they are going through something at home that I don’t know of. I love that these JAWesome students self reflect and persevere to get better! They are special because they’ve captured my heart and I want to help them by giving them a chance to enjoy learning so I can capture theirs. Help them gain the confidence they need and want to be successful.
My students come from low income households where they might not have the literature or technology they need.
The majority of our students are from low socioeconomic families, in a community still recovering from effects of COVID-19 where parents are out of work or need to leave home to work so some students may be home alone. With a tablet, they will not be alone because they can interact with their class online through distance learning. They are so strong and determined that they don’t let their background define them. This makes them special. They are also special because I know they will be extremely grateful.
My Project
Please help give several student the gift of technology to help increase their mathematical computation, literacy skills, and a lot more! I love that my JAWesome students still have a great attitude, even if they are going through something at home that I don’t know of. I love that these JAWesome students self reflect and persevere to get better! The gift of tablets will help them persevere to get better in ALL subjects, especially with distant learning. Not all students have access to technology and you would help give some students access. They are special because they’ve captured my heart and I want to help them by giving them access to learning through tablets. Help them gain the confidence they need and want to be successful. These tablets are very important in their learning process, especially during this critical time.
