I am a first grade teacher and my students are of high poverty. Many of my first grade students will still be at the kindergarten level, mainly due to missing three months of school. They will need as much visual presentation as possible and explicit examples when working on math and reading from their own computer. The doc camera to use from home and having a place to present all teaching items from my home will allow both English and Spanish speakings students to have access equally. Due to Covid-19 and being a teacher of high risk, we will be navigating online education together. I want to have the best prepared area ready for all my students to be able to access their core education.
My Project
I am a teacher that is going to be home due to Covid-19 and my students are all expected to be home as well. I would like to give them their best education but lack some equipment needed to do so. A quiet area that I can use to focus on their needs and education time while doing live videos. When I am best equipped with my document camera, a place to work, and ways to make their viewing experience most efficient then I can be on my best when teaching.
